The National Anthem of the United Kingdom 世界でももっとも歴史があり、もっともよく知られた「国歌」。1745年に老僭王の子、若僭王 (Young Pretender) がイングランドに攻め入り、ジョージ二世の軍を破ったことから国民の愛国心が燃え、劇場でこの曲が演奏されたのが始まり。その後国王や王室に敬意を表し、たびたび演奏されるようになり、19世紀に正式に国歌として認められました。「正式版」というものはなく、作者も不明ですが17世紀ごろに作られたといいます。その時代に応じて「国王」と「女王」を入れ替えて歌われます。 下記のサイトに行くと、イギリス国歌が聴けます（歌あり）。 Listen to: http://www.homepage-link.to/jukebox/url/anthem0.html ※なお、音楽を聴くには専用のソフトが必要な場合があります。
