48時間という ultimatum 「最後通告」を発したブッシュ大統領の言葉です。まさか「じゃ出て行きます」と素直に従う相手でもないだろうし、アタマの痛い話です。2行目は国連の不甲斐なさ（自分から見て）について言及した発言、3行目は、イラク市民に向けて発したメッセージです。ほんとに何とかならないんでしょうか、この状況は。

今回の武力行使に関しては、先日、ヨーロッパ諸国で同時に大規模な「武力行使反対デモ」が行われたりで、米英の孤立が浮き彫りになったようですが、だからといって、国際社会がイラクの味方だというわけではありません。そこら辺、勘違いしてはいけませんね。いや、むずかしい問題です。根が深そうです。「正義」とは「戦い」であって、「平和」とはそこにあるものではなく、戦って勝ち取るものだという考え方が根底にあるので余計むずかしいわけです。

「北の国」に関しての国際対処の仕方もろもろの件で、「いつまでもアメリカの子分のままではありません。」ということをおっしゃった堂々たる発言、立派です。「サンシャイン計画」は甘かったなどと言われながらも、強硬姿勢だけではダメだ、懐柔策も駆使しながらの現実的なアプローチを採りたいということです。そうです、こういうやり方が東洋には、昔からあるではないか、と大いにうなずいた次第です。でも、どうして、日本がこういう意見（視点）を言えないのでしょうか…。
