きょろきょろ	見る	look around in a restless manner	A girl got off the train and looked around in a restless manner. 電車から女の子が降りてきて、あたりをきょろきょろと見まわした。
ぎろっ	見る	glare	The thin and tall man with a machine gun turned back and glared at me. その痩せ型で背の高い、機関銃を持った男は振り返ってぎろっとこちらをにらんだ。
じろじろ	見る	stare at	My mother used to tell me not to stare at people. 母によく人をじろじろ見るなと言われた。
じろっ	見る	glare at	When I laughed in a loud voice in the meeting, my boss glared at me. 会議中に大声で笑ったら上司にじろっとにらまれた。  Note   「じろっ」「ぎろっ」などのように睨む瞬間が短い場合には glare が使われ、「じろじろ」のように比較的瞬間が長い場合は stare というわけです。
ちらっ	見る	glance at; take a glance at	As soon as a handsome and smart-looking man came into the hall, many women took a synchronized glance at him. ハンサムでかっこいい男性がホールに入って来たとたんに、多くの女性が一斉にちらっと彼を見た。  Note   また、「じろっ」「ちらっ」はどちらも見る瞬間が短いのですが、目つきがより鋭い「じろっ」は glare で、「ちらっ」のほうは glance となります。
ぼんやり	見える	dim	Don't read books in such dim light. そんなぼんやりとした明かりの下で本を読むな。 I saw a dim figure in the distance. 遠くにぼんやりとした人影が見えた。 It's a pity that my eyes are becoming dim with age. 情けないことに年とともに目がぼんやりとかすんでくる。
まざまざ	見せつける	show something clearly	The failure showed me clearly that I needed more discipline. 失敗を通して自分はまだまだ修業が足りないということをまざまざと見せつけられた。
まじまじ	見る	have an intensive look; have a good look at	The sponsor had an intensive look at the graphic idea we showed and said, "Great!". スポンサーは我々の出したグラフィック案をまじまじと見て言った、「すばらしい！」
