かさかさ	皮膚	a rough	In winter, the skin becomes rough and itchy and it's just intolerable. 冬は肌がかさかさになりかゆくなり、まったく耐えられない。
がんがん	痛い	throbbing	"I have a throbbing headache, and pills don't work at all." 「頭ががんがんして、薬も全然効かないんです。」
きりきり	痛む	stitch	"I have a stitch in my side, and pills don't work at all." 「わき腹がきりきり痛くて、薬も全然効かないんです。」
ぐったり	疲れる	be dead tired	Her husband was dead tired last night, so she gave up her interrogation where he had been. 昨夜は夫がぐったりと疲れていたので、それまでどこにいたのかは聞かないことにした。
くらくら	頭	feel dizzy; see stars	I saw stars when I was kicked in the face. 顔を殴られて頭がくらくらした。 He had too much drinking last night, and he feels dizzy this morning. 昨夜飲みすぎて、今朝は頭がくらくらしている。
くりくり	目	big, round, sparkling eyes	Little Lucy stared at her new doll with a big, sparkling eyes. ルーシーはくりくりした目で新しい人形を見た。
ごつごつ	手など	rough, bony	An old woman grinned and said "Show me your arm," extending her rough and bony hand. 老婆はにたりと笑って、ごつごつした手を差し出しながら「腕を見せてごらん」と言った。
ずきずき	痛む	throb	"I have a throbbing pain, and pills don't work at all." 「ずきずきした痛みで、薬も全然効かないんです。」
ちかちか	目	eyes are irritated	My eyes are irritated due to lack of sleep. 睡眠不足で目がちかちかします。
ちくちく	痛む	scratchy; prickling	The bugbite is prickling. 虫にさされた跡がちくちく痛む。 As my skin is so delicate that my sweater is scratchy. 肌がデリケートなのでセーターがちくちくするんです。
ちくっ	痛む	sting	"It stings. Relax and take a deep breath. Are you ready?" 「ちくっとしますよ。落ち着いて大きく息を吸い込んで。大丈夫ですか？」
つるつる	禿げている	bald as an egg	"My father is as bald as an egg, and so is your father." 「僕の父の頭もつるつるなら、君のお父さんもそうだよね。」  Note   「つるつる」というカンジが良く出ている表現です。このように日本語では擬態語を使って表現の豊かさを表わすのに対して、英語では like ... のように「比喩」を使って豊かな表現をします。
つんつるてん	禿げている	as bald as an egg and as smooth as silk	"You are right. But my father is more than that. His head is as bald as an egg and as smooth as silk." 「まあね。というか、僕の親父はそれ以上だよ。どっちかというとつんつるてんってカンジだね。」  Note   いちおう上の文章を受けていますが、一体このふたりは何を自慢し合っているのでしょうか？ともあれ、この as bold as an egg and as smooth as silk は強引ですが、「つんつるてん」という言葉自体も冗談っぽいので、多少強引もいいかもしれません。
どきどき	胸	throb; beat fast	My heart began beating fast when my name was suddently called in the meeting. 会議で急に自分の名前が呼ばれて胸がどきどきした。
のっぺり	顔	smooth and blank	A smooth and blank face was considered to be a beauty in ancient Japan. 古代日本ではのっぺりした顔が美人だとされていた。
はあはあ	あえぐ	gasping and panting; huff and puff	Being mad and angry, he yelled, cried and shouted huffing and puffing. 怒りと憤慨のあまり彼ははあはああえぎながら、叫び、わめき、怒鳴った。  Note    huff も puff 息の音を表わす言葉ですので、「はあはあ」というカンジが良く出ていて、擬音語に近いと言えます。 gasp 、 pant は「息をきらす」意味。ふたつの言葉を重ねることで「ぜいぜい」いわせている様子が良く現れています。
バタンキュー	疲れる	conk out	It had been a hard day with a lot of hard jobs, he conked out as soon as he was home. 重労働で大変な一日だったので、家に着いたとたんに彼はバタンキューの状態だった。
ぱっちり	目	big bright eyes	The grandmother was very happy to see a cute baby with big bright eyes and exclaimed, "Oh what a lovely baby!" 祖母はぱっちりした目の可愛い赤ん坊を見て、「あらま、なんて可愛い赤ちゃん！」と喜びの声をあげた。
はればれ	顔	look cheerful	What kind of speces is he, he looks so cheerful as if nothing has ever heppened, after being rebuked and reproached again and again by his boss. 性懲りもなく上司に怒られ、非難されても、何事もなかったようにはればれした顔をしている彼は一体何者？
ぱんぱん	お腹	be ready to burst	My stomach is ready to burst after having three plates of curry and rice. カレーを3倍も食べてしまってお腹がぱんぱんです。
ひーひー	苦悩	groan in pain	When I visited my uncle at the hospital, the sick was groaning in pain. 叔父を見舞いに行ったが、病人はひーひー苦しんでいた。
ひりひり	痛む	hurt	"Don't touch it, it really hurts!" 「触らないでくれ、ひりひり痛むんだ。」
ふうふう	あえぐ	groan and suffer	My brother always groans and suffers under a pile of his unfinished homework at the end of vacations. 弟は休みが終わりになると必ず、やり残した宿題でふうふう言っている。
ふさふさ	髪など	thick	"My hair used to be thick in those days," the old man said stroking his bald head. 「わしも当時は髪の毛がふさふさじゃったよ」、老人は禿げ頭を撫でながら言った。
ふらっと	よろめく	feel dizzy; swim	I felt dizzy when I got up suddenly. 急に立ち上がったらふらっとした。
ふらふら	頭	swim	I can't think of anything right now. My head is swimming. 今は何も考えられない。頭がふらふらしてるんだ。
ぺこぺこ	お腹	be starved	I'm starved as I have had nothing since last night. 昨夜から何も食べてないのでお腹がぺこぺこです。
へとへと	疲れる	exhausted; be dog-tired	He had listen to his wife's complaints all day long and became dog-tired. 妻の小言を一日中聞かされてへとへとになった。
ぽーっ	頭	blank mind; lose one's head	My mind is blank because of the heat of this summer. この夏の暑さに頭がぽーとしている。
ほくほく	顔	look satisfied; filled with satisfaction	He looks quite satisfied with a big raise. 彼は給料が上がってほくほく顔だ。
ぼさぼさ	髪	messy; uncombed; unkept	He always leaves his hair unkept, and this may be the reason why he was refused by his customer. 彼はいつも髪がぼさぼさで、それが客から拒否された理由かもしれない。
ぼりぼり	掻く	scratch	"Don't scratch your backside in public. I can't walk in the street with you." 「公衆の面前でお尻をぼりぼり掻かないで。いっしょに歩けないわ。」
むかむか	気分が悪い	feel sick	"Whenever I take bus for a long time, I feel sick. バスに長い間乗っているとむかむかしてきます。
むずむず	鼻	tickle	It's the pollen season and my nose began tickling. 花粉の季節がやってきて、鼻がむずむずしてきた。
むっと	息苦しい	stuffy	I feel stuffy here, because the room is not equipped with a ventilator. この部屋には換気扇が付いていないのでむっとする。
もうろう	意識	half conscious	The boy was half conscious when he was rescued from the water. 少年は水中から救助されたときは意識がもうろうとしていた。
もじゃもじゃ	髪	bushy beards; shaggy hair	A man with bushy beards and shaggy hair came out of the woods. ひげと髪がもじゃもじゃの男がひとり、森から出てきた。
もぞもぞ	背中が	a crawly feeling	There was a crawly feeling on my back and I took off my clothes in the dark to find the cause. 背中がもぞもぞしてきたので暗がりで服を脱いでみた。
